At Reelzy.co, we want both guests and captains to have confidence when booking and managing fishing trips. That’s why we offer three standardised cancellation policies: Flexible, Moderate, and Strict.

Each trip listing clearly states the applicable policy, so everyone knows exactly what to expect.

βœ… If the guest cancels less than 24 hours before the scheduled trip start time, the deposit paid is non-refundable. Any remaining balance not collected will not be charged.

βœ… Full refund if the guest cancels 5 days or more before the scheduled trip start time.
βœ… If the guest cancels less than 5 days before the scheduled trip start time, the deposit paid is non-refundable. Any remaining balance not collected will not be charged.

βœ… 50% refund if the guest cancels 7 days or more before the scheduled trip start time.
βœ… If the guest cancels less than 7 days before the scheduled trip start time, the deposit paid is non-refundable. Any remaining balance not collected will not be charged.

🌦️ Weather Cancellations

In the event of unsafe weather conditions (at the captain’s discretion), the captain may decide to cancel the trip for safety reasons. If this happens:

βœ… The guest will receive a full refund of all amounts paid.
βœ… Alternatively, the guest may choose to reschedule the trip at no additional cost.

If the captain asks the guest to cancel the trip due to unsafe weather, the guest must notify Reelzy.co so we can ensure the deposit is not lost.


πŸ’‘ Additional Information

βœ… Delivery fees (e.g. equipment drop-off) are always refunded if the trip does not go ahead.
βœ… Base Fees (the main trip price) are refunded according to the selected cancellation policy.
βœ… Complaints: If there’s an issue, please notify Reelzy.co within 24 hours of the trip’s start time.
βœ… Disputes: Reelzy.co will mediate when necessary and has the final say in any dispute.
βœ… Taxes: Applicable taxes will be retained and remitted.


πŸ“ How to Cancel

Guests can cancel at any time before the trip by following these steps:

  1. Go to Your Bookings.

  2. Click Manage next to the booking you want to cancel.

  3. Select Cancel Booking.

  4. Choose the reason for cancellation.

  5. Click Next until you reach the final confirmation screen.

  6. Confirm by clicking Yes, Cancel.

β€’ If your booking has been accepted, the cancellation option is at the top of the page.
β€’ If your booking is pending, the option is at the bottom.


πŸ“Œ Need to Reschedule Instead?

Want to change the date, time, number of guests, or trip package? No need to cancel! Submit a booking change request to see if the captain can accommodate you.


🚨 Reporting Issues After the Trip

If you need to report a cancellation or problem after the trip was scheduled (e.g. if the captain didn’t show up), please:

  1. Go to Your Bookings.

  2. Click All on the left-hand side.

  3. Find the booking in question and select View Details.

  4. Scroll to the bottom and click Report Cancellation.

  5. Provide as much detail as possible and click Report Cancellation.
